Project

Website Redesign

Overview

This wasn’t just a redesign. It was a ground-up rebuild designed to match the depth and sophistication of their work.

When Reputation Ink approached us, they needed more than a website refresh. As a public relations (PR) and content marketing agency working with complex industries including legal, architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC), and business-to-business (B2B), they were producing a ton of high-quality content, but their site wasn’t doing it justice.

Their previous platform was over a decade old, was hard to manage, and didn’t reflect the sophistication of their work. We partnered with their internal team to design and build a completely new WordPress experience, one that’s fast, flexible, and built to scale with their content.

Challenge

Their old site was rigid, outdated, and hard to maintain, making it difficult to showcase their deep content library or guide users to the right services.

From the start, we knew we were working with a site that had simply outgrown its original structure. The content management system (CMS) was clunky, the hosting was outdated, and their DNS setup lacked modern security and performance features. Content updates were tedious, and the user journey was unclear. Especially with so many industries and services in play.

Their team needed a platform flexible enough to manage diverse content types while delivering a smooth, intuitive experience for every kind of user.

Our Approach

We built a flexible, future-ready WordPress site with a powerful Knowledge Center, streamlined user experience, and custom CMS tools that put content control back in their hands.

We collaborated closely with the Reputation Ink team to align on the design direction. Their team came to us with some great initial concepts, and we helped refine those into a clean, flexible design system.

One of the most important (and complex) pieces of this build was the Knowledge Center. Reputation Ink is a content powerhouse. They’re constantly publishing blogs, podcasts, case studies, and news. But on the old site, everything lived in silos. There was no easy way for users to browse, filter, or discover relevant content.

We changed that.

We designed and developed a centralized Knowledge Center that consolidates all content types into one flexible, filterable hub. Users can now search by industry, topic, and content type. Whether they’re looking for legal insights or the latest AEC podcast, they’ll find what they need quickly and easily.

Behind the scenes, this involved custom taxonomies, smart URL structuring, and content tagging that powers dynamic routing. Our development team also created custom blocks and functionality that ensure the experience is consistent no matter the content type.

We also paid close attention to performance and usability on the back-end. Everything was built in a modular, code-based format using Tailwind CSS and the latest version of WordPress. The admin interface is intuitive, and the CMS gives their team the freedom to create and customize pages without any development support. Whether it’s a new case study or a podcast embed, it’s now just a few clicks away.

Results

The new site is faster, easier to manage, and fully scalable. Their team can now build and publish content on their own, quickly, confidently, and without developer roadblocks.

The transformation was immediate. Their site is now fast, secure, and easy to navigate for both users and their internal team. They’re confidently managing content, building new pages, and continuing to grow without needing developer support for every little update.
